Although the skepticism of the community allowed for a guest list comprised entirely of students to the first Sabbatimkon exhibit, its incredible success enabled Sabbatimkon 2 to see University of Virginia faculty, parents, and community members walk in to see what all the hype was about.
Everyone was once again pleasantly surprised at the quality of work displayed, which included photographs, paintings, mixed media art, interactive video art, a musical composition, film, and drawings – and particularly enjoyed the environment they found themselves in – surrounded by others like them interested in discussing art, meeting new people, and of course, having a few drinks and having fun.
Sabbatimkon 2 solidified the ‘Sabbatimkon’ name – this show will go on…

One feature of Sabbatimkon 2 was that there were dry-erase boards covering an entire wall of the gallery, which allowed everyone who attended to create their own form of ‘live art’. Below you will see all their creations. If you attended the show and drew on our wall, you’ll see your creation here!
