gipsy kings

I never thought I would have this pleasure… but, yes, thanks to Mariano, Jelena’s dad, not only did I get to meet the Gypsy Kings in person, have dinner with them…. but I also got to be on stage with them and photograph them during a concert here in Milan!

It was an incredible experience – they were all men with amazing world knowledge who had plenty of good advice to give. The concert was held for a very limited amount of people, so it felt more intimate than I could ever have wished for. How can I express what I felt while I was on stage as they played songs like ‘Djobi Djoba’…. wow! Hopefully some day I’ll meet them again! Enjoy the photos!
