bio
Christopher Sabbatini is an emerging Milanese artist. Having conducted most of his studies in the United States, he graduated with a degree in Italian Literature and Studio Art, with concentrations in Photography and Digital Art from the University of Virginia in 2008. While at the University, he worked as a photojournalist – covering events, sports, concerts. In a word, he covered life, using his camera as an eye with which to explore and discover the world.Born into art – his father, Alfredo Sabbatini is an internationally recognized “visionary and genial” photographer – Christopher is constantly searching for the moment to capture – in order to turn it into another scene of the film he calls his life. This, in essence, is his challenge: having the ability to read reality and understand the exact moment to capture and envelop with his lens.
Professionally he defines himself “omnivorous” – in the sense that he does not have a single technique or subject to develop. He has a thirst for new experiences, new encounters and new emotions which he expresses with an innate and personal aesthetic sense. An aesthetic dominated by high contrast – deep, penetrating blacks and bright, encompassing whites. Because life, to him, has only two faces.
